  1. Hello Kathleen,
My background is animal science and I have watched so many of these in my personal interests but have never really considered using them in classes. Even though most of the courses I teach don't involve animals, this is definitely something that could be passed along to our biology teachers when they are teaching ecology. My school/district recently added marine science courses so they could definite benefit from these videos. I could also see having some of them playing instead of a screensaver when the board is not in use.

  2. Hi Kathleen! Thank you for sharing this website with us! It is so interesting and entertaining to watch! Although the site does not provide educational resources for teachers to utilize in conjunction with the videos, I do believe that educators can use these webcams in various classes. For example, an ELA teacher could ask the students to describe the setting from one of the webcams and compare it to a similar setting in the piece of literature they are studying. Also, the students could practice making inferences from the live feeds regarding the weather, seasons, etc. As a former Spanish teacher, I could have included these videos to practice vocabulary concerning animals and weather. The students would have loved this! The animals and wildlife are fascinating and very engaging! Thanks again!
    Best,
